College
So bonfire at the dorms. Just for athletes. Insecure athletes. The jocks, the party people. The baby mamas, the forward volleyball team, the boys from the hood who are trying their hand at rapping because I mean what else is there to do with a whole bunch of people gathered around. The cliche college students who seem to think that being stuck up in the mountains means partying, sleeping around, being chained to your phone or labtop, and playing sports. Not forgetting the soccer team of course, with their spanglish. OBSERVATION: Soccer players give hugs and the football players ask you your favorite color. College people travel in packs. The volleyball players, the soccer players, the football players, and the players that flit around from group to group cracking jokes and making people laugh. Then there was the awkward ones that watched and listened and laughed at the appropriate times. Finally, a truck pulled up and lighted some crates on fire. Everyone gathered around, and then pushed out away as the place heated up. More awkwardness, boys gathering numbers, stupid jokes, as the fire burned down and we started moving in towards the fire again. Then people dispersed, the fire was hosed down, and we turned and walked back, more awkwardness as people found out which rooms they wanted to go to. Party at your house? -No. -What about yours?- Well I am going to the volleyball house.- I am going to the river. -Wana go get something to eat?- Who has the weed? -Let's light this place up!
